42 Dugg says he received a lot of cash from a few major rappers after he got out of prison last year.
The Detroit native sat down with The Breakfast Club on Thursday, July 11, for an in-depth conversation about everything that’s been going on in his life. After discussing his debut album 4eva Us Neva Them, 42 talked about the support he received while he was locked up. Charlamagne The God also asked him if any of his famous friends helped him out after he became a free man. He said Lil Baby, Future, and Yo Gotti gave him at least $1 million combined.
“[Baby] gave me some money. Future gave me some money, Gotti…” 42 Dugg said. After Charlamagne asked how much, he replied. “They gave me about $1 million altogether. A few $100,000.”
42 Dugg also opened up about his rumored “fight” with Offset. In January, the Game’s manager Wack 100 claimed he witnessed the former Migos rapper rob Dugg during a dispute at a dice game three years ago. He even said the incident sparked a beef between Offset and Lil Baby. Dugg responded to Wack’s claims about the robbery and said they were cap. However, he did acknowledge that an argument happened that night.
“I mean we ain’t get into no fight. I say we had an argument. You know the Internet be hyping it up,” Dugg said. “I ain’t get robbed. I’m not even the type of guy that go for that type of s**t.”
The interview went down nearly a week after 42 Dugg dropped his first studio LP 4eva Us Neva Them. Dugg’s long-awaited debut album comes with 21 new tracks including “Win With Us” and his collaboration with Sexyy Red, “N.P.O.” He also has tracks with Meek Mill, Rylo Rodriguez, Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, Jeezy andLil Baby.
