Boosie Badazz Slams B.G.’s Arrest As Possible Prison Return Looms

Boosie Badazz has criticized B.G.’s arrest following their concert performance which could send the Hot Boys rapper back to prison.

B.G. is accused of violating his probation through the performance as he is not allowed to associate with other convicted felons as part of his probation.

Another condition of B.G.’s release requires him to “obtain prior written approval … before entering self-employment” — which he did not do when he released the album Choppers & Bricks in December with Gucci Mane, who is also a convicted felon.

Boosie, who B.G. performed with on February 8 in Las Vegas, has now laid into the authorities for their treatment of the New Orleans rapper, who was only released from prison in September after more than a decade behind bars.

Speaking on Instagram Live, Boosie said: “I need all my supporters, all rap supporters to get behind and try to stop what’s going on with B.G. These people trying to lock B.G. up for rapping, bro.

“Say he put an album out with Gucci, saying he not supposed to put music out, saying he did a concert with me that he was allowed to do. They trying to lock this man up for rapping. Say he can’t put music out on Spotify.”

He continued: “This gotta stop. We gotta fight for our people. This man has passed every drug test, community service. Wrong is wrong. You can’t be self-employed and put out music? This man been doing this since 13 years old.

“He is an artist. He not somebody who’s trying to be a rapper. I gotta speak up for this ’cause they trying to lock somebody up for rapping, for doing his job, saying he can’t put out music, saying he gonna get locked up if he do another video rapping in his car.

B.G. also appeared to comment on his arrest in his own Instagram post where he wrote: “It’s crazy how after paying my debt to society with 12 and a half years of my life I come home and still ain’t free… I been doing everything the right way and it seems like that ain’t enough.
