Bulgarian initiative The Collective Foundation has transformed a 3,000 sqm parking rooftop in Sofia into a vibrant new cultural space suitable for people of all ages. Soon to become the new location of 100 Stola, a group dedicated to breathing new life into neglected urban spaces, the revived rooftop features the largest graffiti mural in Bulgaria, painted by local artists XPOME and Djo Venci. This intervention will also be part of the Park Festival taking place between June 23-25, 2024.

The 100 Chairs ‘On The Roof’ project by The Collective Foundation (see more here) is an extensive collaboration between artists, businesses, organizations, and friends involved in the initiative. The rooftop space, owned by Business Park Sofia, hosts a rich program, with a glowing lake, mass sculptures, a new playground, art studios, and much more. Once the Park Festival is over, the stage and playground will continue to operate with regular programs and events. The project won the New European Bauhaus prize 2024
