Snoop Dogg, the iconic California rapper with an undeniable flow, has pushed the boundaries of the music industry to become a heavy-hitter in business. While his name will always be a part of West Coast hip-hop culture, his entrepreneurial ventures have launched him into the world of business moguls, proving that his hustling spirit goes far beyond the mic.
Uncle Snoop stepped into the music scene in the early 1990s, quickly catching everyone’s attention with his distinctive rap delivery. Albums like “Doggystyle” and “Tha Doggfather,” became extremely successful and solidified his status as one of the most influential figures in rap music. However, Snoop’s savvy business sense has kept him relevant for many years and even allowed him to expand his empire beyond music.
One of Snoop’s most standout business ventures is his cannabis brand. In 2015, the rapper launched Leafs By Snoop, embracing his love for the plant. The brand features a wide variety of products including flower, concentrates, and edibles, that caters to both medical and recreational users. Despite Snoop profiting from his passion, he also advocates for criminal justice reform and the legalization of cannabis.
Of course, Snoop’s business investments don’t stop there as he branches out into different industries outside of cannabis. For example, let’s take a look at tech. Snoop has tapped into the technology world with tech companies like Reddit and Robinhood, which highlights that he’s got his sights set on what’s next. And when it comes to alcohol, Snoop isn’t just sipping, he’s also the mastermind behind many cocktails. Through his partnership with Tanqueray Gin, Snoop has whipped up signature cocktails, bringing in a whole new level of fan interaction for the brand and himself. Plus, he’s even got his own liquor brand now, “Indoggo Gin,” that promises to deliver that “laid-back California style” he’s known for.
Beautiful day in LA. I appreciate this city so much. Got to catch up with a lot of friends. Some of you may know @SnoopDogg was one of our earliest investors at @reddit during our spin-out & turnaround. Very few people wanted to invest in us back then. Snoop did. And ya never for… pic.twitter.com/Sr3aqumag6

In addition to the aforementioned list, Snoop has even made for himself in culinary. Inspired by his mother’s cooking, Snoop developed Broadus Foods, which offers two breakfast brands: Snoop Cereal and Mama Snoop pancake mix and maple syrup, to add “diversity into the grocery stores industry and creating opportunities for minority-owned food products and brands.” Additionally, Snoop has released his own cookbook titled, “From Crook to Cook,” which features some of his favorite recipes and even includes a few kitchen tips from the rapper.
Nevertheless, Snoop Dogg’s journey from an intense rap industry to business mogul status speaks volumes about his entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability. By making strategic investments and smart business moves, Snoop has crafted a diverse empire that stretches across many different industries. While his background may be in music, his influence now reaches far beyond beats snappy lyrics, establishing him as both a musical icon and a powerful force in the business world.
