There were over 3,500 dancers representing 55 countries in Phoenix, Arizona, competing for the 2024 World Hip Hop Dance Championship title.
In an exhilarating turn of events, the “Wan Squad” hip-hop dance team from Papua New Guinea made history by winning the 2024 National Championships hip-hop dance competition in the USA.
“The experience has been amazing and overwhelming,” one of the members said.
“Our team is still new to international dancing…we we’re more happy and proud that we were there, the results didn’t matter.”
