Fluctuart hosts a exhibition by Speedy Graphito from September 20. The French street artist offers an immersive experience, La Grande Illusion, at the centre for urban and floating art on the Seine.

After exhibitions dedicated to artists Nasty or Tania Mouraud, Fluctuart continues its exploration of urban art in its floating space on the Seine. Next personality to shine the spotlight on urban art culture: Speedy Graphito, a pioneer of street art à la française! It was in the early 80s that the artist tried his hand at stencil art. Thus, Paris saw the appearance of his first graffiti with a well-defined aesthetic. Inspiration inherited from pop culture and its cult characters, as well as a graphic style that blends comics and modern art, this is the Speedy Graphito touch!
A new exhibition for Speedy Graphito in September
The artist has since achieved international renown and has been the subject of several big exhibitions (in Reims, Toulon) and invitations to shows abroad. In Paris, he was even seen at the Musée en Herbe for Les Mondes imaginaires in 2021. His next challenge: to take over the Fluctuart space and offer not just an exhibition, but an immersive experience optico-ludic designed especially for the venue!
La Grande Illusion, the immersive exhibition by Speedy Graphito
With his exhibition, Speedy Graphito invites visitors to explore his creative process and re-examine their relationship with images. Throughout La Grande Illusion, the artist plays with our visual perception. With effects of surprise, optical illusion, perception of space and play on color, Speedy Graphito intends to blur our reference points to encourage us to question what we see.
A douzaine d’œuvres equally varied and powerful will take place from September 20, 2024 at Fluctuart. Guaranteed visual turbulence with creations from the optical and kinetic series, which metamorphose before our eyes as we move. La grande fresque de l’histoire de l’art, meanwhile, retraces some of the great artistic currents and is packed with references to their icons. Finally, return to childhood with Perfect World (2020), an ultra-colorful work in pixel art style.
