A documentary series on the late DJ Mehdi has been released.
Available to watch now via Arte, the six-part DJ Mehdi: Made in France tracks the life and career of the influential electronic artist. Writer and filmmaker Thibaut de Longeville directed the project.
Born Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, DJ Mehdi’s signature production style combined the attitude of hip-hop with electro and house. He released prolifically on Ed Banger Records, collaborating with the likes of Cassius, Busy P and Riton, before dying in a tragic accident in 2011, aged 34.
