Megan Thee Stallion, Kendrick Lamar and Drake Lead 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards Nominations

*Megan Thee Stallion leads the nominations for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards with 12 nods, including hip-hop artist of the year.

Kendrick Lamar secured 11 nominations, while Drake received eight. Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, and Nicki Minaj each earned seven nominations; Future and Travis Scott followed with six. 21 Savage and 41 garnered four nods each, with A$AP Rocky, Common, Lil Wayne, Pete Rock, and Sexyy Red receiving three apiece, Billboard reports. 

The hip-hop artist of the year category includes Cardi B, GloRilla, Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Drake, Future, and Kendrick Lamar. 

Fat Joe will return as host for the third consecutive year. The ceremony will be taped in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and will air a week later on BET on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“Joe Crack is back for the three-peat, night night baby,” said Fat Joe, who will co-executive produce the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards. “It’s been a dream to host the BET Hip Hop Awards the past few years, and I’m looking forward to taking things to the next level in Las Vegas. We’re going to be in a new city and location, but the excitement and entertainment at the awards will be even bigger than ever.”

“This year’s nominees exemplify the creativity and diversity of hip-hop and the culture,” Connie Orlando, EVP, specials, music programming and music strategy at BET, said in a statement.
