Mossy Creek Foundation’s commission of an outdoor mural has been completed by artist Regann Hunt-Royster this week.
The 70-foot-long scene, which offers Hunt-Royster’s artistic rendition of Mossy Creek’s nature and history, decorates a block wall separating a downtown parking lot from Tallent Street in the heart of the Historic Mossy Creek Downton District. The wall was hidden for decades by the Parks-Belk Department Store building, which municipal officials condemned and subsequently demolished in 2021.
