Dundas Valley School of Art will unveil “Piece x Piece” on Thursday, a collaborative mosaic mural by visual artist Nancy Zboch, involving local community groups such as Ellen Osler Home, Down Syndrome Association of Hamilton and Routes Youth Centre.
Inspired by Dundas’s natural landscape, Zboch’s design emphasizes unity and communal support. “I specifically wanted to reinforce the idea of many equals one,” Zboch said. “My greatest joy was watching the ‘play’ that started immediately once the participants understood that they could interpret my template … into their personal vision..” The unveiling is set for 6:30 p.m., with the faculty art show following at 7 p.m.
