Art After Dark: The Remix at Cincinnati Art Museum is making adjustments for the Friday, Sept. 27, event amid damaging winds and heavy rain brought on by Hurricane Helene.
The museum announced Friday morning on Facebook that all Art After Dark performances, including a free concert from acclaimed hip-hop artist and DJ Talib Kweli, will move inside the museum. The venue said the change means a capacity limit will be enforced inside, so visitors are recommended to arrive early.
Cincinnati Art Museum previously announced the concert would take place in the venue’s front parking lot, rain or shine. The parking lot will now be open for guests to park. Overflow parking is available at 640 Eden Park Drive, with free Cincinnati Metro shuttles available to the museum.
The Art After Dark event coincides with another celebration of hip-hop, as it’s the final week of the exhibition, “The Culture: Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century,” which is on view through Sunday, Sept. 29.
The event runs from 5-10 p.m. Friday. Visit Cincinnati Art Museum’s website for more information.
