This has drastically reduced the time he will spend behind bars, news that has led the rapper’s fanbase to rejoice while anticipating his release.

The plea deal, which was reached last September, stemmed from an incident in 2021, when YoungBoy Never Broke again and several others were arrested and charged with weapons possessions during a music video shoot in the rapper’s hometown.

As part of the deal, the 25-year-old admitted to being in possession of multiple firearms during a video shoot, including Masterpiece Arms MPA30T 9mm handgun and a Glock 21 .45 caliber pistol, which he had to turn over to police in accordance with the agreement.

2024 saw YoungBoy Never Broke Again resolve his various legal battles, including prescription drug fraud charges he was hit with in April of that year. The rapper was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine but avoided receiving any time behind bars in that case.

Despite his incarceration, the hitmaker has remained productive on the musical front, releasing his seventh solo studio album, I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders, this past December.
