MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Leaders from the iconic clothing brand ‘For Us By Us’ have selected Memphis as the city to host the Inaugural ‘Hip Hop Awards & Festival Weekend to Memphis.’
“We look forward to spearheading a signature experience in Memphis that inspires the spirit of novelty, ingenuity, and community behind our brand,” wrote J. Alexander Martin, co-founder of FUBU.
The weekend of August 14th through 17th will celebrate “hip hop, culture, art and style.”
The award show is expected to attract hundreds of celebrity guests and thousands of visitors to the Bluff City. The For Us By Us Network is partnering with Telecast Media Group and The Redwing Group for the event.
“One of Memphis’ greatest assets is our creative culture,” wrote Mayor Paul Young. “We are proud to serve as host city to the inaugural (FUBU) For Us By Us Awards Weekend.”
