The news comes just four months after his release from a two-year sentence for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) charges.

Hotboii is a collaborator of currently detained rapper YNW Melly. Melly is detained on a capital murder charges. His first trial ended in a mistrial in 2023. Melly filed a federal lawsuit with the supreme court for his release from detainment after being held by the Broward Country Sheriffs since 2019. He also faces several lawsuits against the victims of the murder, YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy.
