Kanye West has demanded his “hero” Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to be released from prison.

The I’ll Be Missing You rapper is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on sex trafficking and racketeering charges ahead of a trial in May. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.

On Thursday night, fellow hip-hop star West, also known as Ye, took to X and called on the U.S. President to free his “hero” despite their previous feud.

“@realDonaldTrump PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF,” he wrote, referring to Combs’s previous alias Puff Daddy, before calling out celebrities for letting “our brother rot” behind bars by being too scared to speak out.

“THEY TRYNA PROVE A POINT AND YALL KNOW THAT… YALL F**KING KNOW THAT AND SITTING LAUGHING AT THE F**KING INTERNET ON INSTAGRAM THIS MAN GAVE HIS LIFE TO US THIS MY IDOL THIS MY HERO,” he continued.

“PUFF WE LOVE YOU,” he declared. “I STOOD UP FOR PUFF AND I’M STILL WINNING 20 GRAMMIES NEXT YEAR AND DOING THE SUPERBOWL.”

The Stronger rapper also announced that his brand Yeezy was teaming up with Combs’s label Sean John on a line of T-shirts to raise money for the incarcerated musician.

“I’m selling the Sean John collaboration that me and my brother spoke about before they locked him up we splitting the profits 50/50,” he explained, before later clarifying, “I JUST FOUND OUT THAT PUFF IS NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE OR COLLECT MONEY WHILE HE’S LOCKED UP SO I’MA SEND HIS HALF OF THE MONEY TO (his son) JUSTIN.”

Combs, or a person running his Instagram account, posted a screengrab of the collaboration announcement and wrote, “Thank you to my brother @Ye.”

After those messages, West then embarked on a posting spree in which he regurgitated past offensive comments, including “slavery is a choice” and derogatory statements about Jewish people. He declared that he was “never apologising” for his antisemitic comments, which lost him a lucrative deal with Adidas in 2022.

His X spree was still ongoing as this story went to press.
