Rémy Martin is celebrating hip-hop culture with its new limited-edition collection of beverages.

A press release revealed that on Feb. 19, Rémy Martin announced the release of a new collection, the V.S.O.P. This Is My City Limited-Editions, which celebrates vibrant hip-hop cultures across the United States.

The iconic cognac brand is releasing one-of-a-kind bottles, each honoring the iconic sounds and cultural richness of North America’s most lively cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, and New York City. Each of the four distinct bottle designs honors the renowned music, art, and fashion legacies of these places, demonstrating how culture and creativity interact.

To coincide with the debut of the limited-edition collection, Rémy Martin unveiled its inaugural This is My City Microgrant Initiative, a regional microgrant program to recognize young creatives. The microgrant is open to all types of creatives who enhance their local culture and communities via various business forms. The microgrant is an extension of Rémy Martin’s V.S.O.P. Limited-Edition collection, demonstrating the brand’s continued commitment to the community by recognizing rising entrepreneurial voices in each city.

“As we celebrate the launch of the V.S.O.P. This is My City limited-edition collection, we are proud to honor the local talent, culture, and legacies that have shaped these iconic cities and continue to inspire the future,” said Tonia Mancino, Vice President of Luxury Brands, Rémy Cointreau Americas, in a statement to RetailWire. “Through the This is My City Microgrant initiative, we’re deepening our investment and commitment to music through community and culture, championing the heritage and creative spirit that make these cities so influential.”

The This is My City V.S.O.P. Limited-Editions are available for $49.99 in select markets (Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, and New York) and at online retailers.

Rémy Martin Is the Latest Company To Celebrate Hip-Hop

Rémy Martin is just the latest company to celebrate hip-hop in all its forms. Last year, RetailWire spoke with the legendary Darryl “DMC” McDaniels (of Run-DMC) about his cookie company, Darryl Makes Cookies.

At the beginning of the chat, RetailWire’s CEO Dominick Miserandino asked McDaniel about the “why” of his new cookie brand, to which he responded: “I’m always doing something with families and kids. I do a lot of work with foster care and adoption… Most importantly, I like to do nice things that make people smile.”

“With cookies, you could have a grandmother, grandfather, and the whole family with the kids, all together,” he continued. Being able to bring together people of all generations resonated deeply with him. Furthermore, over the years, he also noticed how at events, “whether it’s a movie, whether it’s a conference like this, whether it’s a business meeting, there’s always a craft table” with junk food like cookies.
