Diddy’s prison food nightmare: Shocking photo allegedly shows maggot-infested meal

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ time behind bars just went from bad to worse. A newly surfaced photo allegedly taken inside Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) is sparking outrage, showing what appears to be maggots in a prison meal-right where the disgraced hip-hop mogul is serving time.

The image, reportedly captured during the President’s Day weekend, shows a tray of potatoes and beans speckled with tiny white larvae. The unsettling photo has led to renewed scrutiny of MDC’s food conditions, with inmate advocates calling it a serious health risk.

“Inmates were told almost a year ago that all infested food had been thrown out,” said Deirdre von Dornum of the Federal Defenders.“This photo proves otherwise.”

Jailhouse meals or health hazards?

Diddy’s legal team has already spoken about how the music mogul is struggling with prison food, with his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, saying it’s been the toughest part of his incarceration. But now, the controversy isn’t just about taste-it’s about safety.

Defense attorney Sabrina Shroff claimed that MDC inmates are forced to be hyper-vigilant when eating, saying, “Our clients are eating on the margins-the white bread, the rice-anything they can check to make sure there aren’t bugs or vermin.”

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has denied the allegations, stating there’s “no evidence” of maggots in MDC’s meals. Bureau spokesperson Emery Nelson also pointed out that beans weren’t on the menu the day the photo was reportedly taken, casting doubt on its authenticity.

But for Combs, the concerns about prison food run even deeper.

Diddy’s hunger strike fears

Sources close to the rapper claim he’s barely eating, convinced someone might try to poison him. According to an insider for RadarOnline, “Diddy picked over his food like a huffy child and barely touched a thing. He is virtually on hunger strike now because he thinks his food is poisoned.

His attorneys are still working to secure his release, fighting against denied bail requests and questioning the validity of the search warrants used in his case. But with his trial approaching in May, Combs may be stuck navigating more than just his legal troubles-his day-to-day survival at MDC is becoming its own battle.

The jail itself has a long history of food safety issues, with past reports of maggot-infested meals and poor sanitation. NY1 previously reported on MDC’s systemic problems, ranging from medical neglect to violence behind bars. Despite official claims of ongoing improvements, conditions inside remain a point of contention.

As Diddy awaits his fate, the food scandal at MDC is becoming just another layer in a high-profile case that’s already making headlines.
