Bozeman, Montana, is a beautiful place, and that’s one of the main reasons that people live there. Unfortunately, the city was recently hit by vandals who sprayed graffiti all over businesses downtown.
I’m a bit hesitant to take a stand against graffiti artists. I’ve made comments in the past that resulted in getting targeted personally. I’ll admit, I enjoy seeing graffiti on trains that roll through town, but when people start defacing businesses, I have to say something.
Bozeman Officials Struggle to Keep Up With Surge of Graffiti
Pictures of the graffiti in Bozeman were shared on the Downtown Bozeman page on Facebook. Crews have been working diligently to clean up the mess.
The majority of the graffiti included the messages “Land Back” and “Back to the Land.”
The old train station in Bozeman is one place that is almost completely covered in graffiti. It’s sad to see a historic building in such poor condition.
We drove around downtown and spotted some of the graffiti. The U.S. Bank building on Main St. was hit the hardest.

Most of the graffiti appears to be in the same handwriting, so it may be a single person responsible. I really hope that the person is held accountable. There’s no excuse for destroying private property. Maybe they should practice on their bedroom walls at home instead.
