Family-owned Bentham Golf Course in North Yorkshire has enlisted the help of a talented graffiti artist to give the venue’s eight-bay driving range a colourful makeover.

Operations Director John Marshall commissioned the organisation Local Graffiti Artists to brighten up the practise area to make it more attractive to youngsters and visitors to the golf course, which also serves as a holiday park with glamping pods and luxury lodges for hire or sale.

Marshall said: “We’re delighted with the artist’s cartoon style work for this project. We are fortunate to be able to combine an immaculately well-kept golf course for serious enthusiasts alongside offering a facility for complete novices to try golf for the first time with a bucket of balls and hired clubs. I think the new driving range décor sets the tone for that environment, highlighting that golf is a fun sport open to all from dawn to dusk seven days a week”.

Resident club pro Sophie Daws offers tuition for adults and children of all abilities at both the driving range and the indoor golf studio with its state-of-the art technology. From May 31 she will be offering a 4-week series of ‘GET INTO GOLF’ starter sessions on Saturday mornings from 10-11am.
