Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs will spend his first Memorial Day in prison tomorrow, swapping his infamous parties for basketball and BBQ chicken with other inmates, it has been claimed.

The rapper, 55, is on trial in New York, facing five charges across three federal indictments, including sex trafficking, conspiracy racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

He also denies all allegations of wrongdoing against him, including those alleged in civil lawsuits. The hip hop mogul has been held in MDC Brooklyn since his high-profile arrest in September 2024, having been refused bail, and tomorrow marks the first Memorial Day he will spend behind bars.

According to TMZ, Diddy and his fellow inmates in 4 North – the wing of the prison reserved for high-profile prisoners – will be able to play dominoes, spades, board games, as well as 3-on-3 basketball. The publication reported that fruit and cereal will be served at breakfast.

For lunch, the menu includes BBQ chicken, macaroni and cheese, mixed veggies and a holiday dessert, it has been claimed. At dinnertime, chicken and rice – or tofu for those eating plant-based meals – pinto beans, canned corn and whole wheat bread are on the menu. The Mirror US has approached the MDC for comment.

Diddy’s trial, which has so far heard witnesses including his ex Cassie Ventura and rapper Kid Cudi, will then resume on Tuesday. Much of the case presented by prosecutors so far has revolved around accusations that Combs physically and sexually abused Cassie for years, and coerced her into sexual encounters called “freak-offs” with men who were paid thousands of dollars to have sex with her.

But the rapper isn’t simply charged with sex crimes – he is charged with racketeering. Prosecutors claim they will prove that Combs used his businesses and employees “to carry out, facilitate, and cover up his acts of violence, abuse, and commercial sex.” Some of those employees testified in Week 2.

George Kaplan, a personal assistant for Combs from 2013 to 2015, told jurors he’d toss out liquor bottles and drugs and clean up baby oil from Combs’ hotel rooms after the music producer finished freak-offs. He said he never reported abuse to authorities, even after Combs allegedly beat up Cassie on a private jet.

Another personal assistant, David James, testified that Combs had him stock hotel rooms with Viagra, condoms, baby oil and lubricant, among other supplies. He also recounted how Combs allegedly had three handguns on his lap as they drove to a Los Angeles diner looking for his record industry rival, Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight.
