MUMBAI – Shubhankar, famously known as Hectik, has been crowned the winner of “Hip Hop India” season two, the popular dance reality series. The grand finale, streamed on Amazon MX Player, featured electrifying performances and appearances from notable personalities.

Throughout the season, Hectik consistently captivated judges Remo D’Souza and Malaika Arora with his explosive KRUMP performances. This street dance style, which emerged in the early 2000s, became Hectik’s signature, setting him apart. The finale episode also saw special appearances from actors Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Judge Remo D’Souza heaped praise on the winner, asserting that Shubhankar “brought a new language to the stage.” D’Souza elaborated that Hectik’s KRUMP performances weren’t just powerful; they were honest, intense, and unforgettable, embodying what hip hop is all about—channeling who you are into your art.

Fellow judge Malaika Arora echoed D’Souza’s sentiments, highlighting Hectik’s undeniable talent and growth. She observed that from the very beginning, there was a fire in Shubhankar that you couldn’t ignore.
