Boom boom, shake King’s X! Will Smith joins DJ for live rap

Everybody wants to get a view as Will Smith teams up with DJ AG to perform a show in the street in King’s Cross

KING’S Cross was “locked down” by Fresh Prince legend Will Smith on Wednesday night for a street hip-hop gig which saw hundreds of people trying to catch a glimpse.

He performed some of his best-known pop-rap hits alongside DJ AG, who has steadily grown a huge fanclub for his soundsystem appearances outside the mainline station elsewhere.

The Masked Singer judge Rita Ora also joined in the party as passers-by tried to capture the action on their phone cameras – some even climbing lampposts to see the show. Thousands more were watching on a live stream online.

The crowd sang the words back to him as Smith belted out the theme to his breakthrough 1990s comedy series Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and an array of mainstream chart favourites in the afternoon sunshine.

Earlier in the day, the Getting Jiggy With It star had been seen having a slap-up lunch at a restaurant in Camden Town.

Big Narstie and Ciara have been DJ AG’s guests in recent weeks for shows opposite McDonald’s.
