(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Northbrook Police Department has opened an investigation after it says antisemitic graffiti was found at a home over the weekend.

The incident came less than one week after police said antisemitic messages were displayed on billboards over the Edens Expressway.

This time, the Northbrook Village Board said a pro-Israel sign and Israeli flags were vandalized with messages saying “Free Palestine” and “genocide.”

One of the residents told NBC 5 that he “can’t repeat” the words that were left on their driveway.

In a statement, the village board said it “unequivocally condemns antisemitism and all acts of hate speech” and that it’s “imperative we speak out against any and all discrimination, xenophobia and hatred.”
