Audacy, along with audio producer and distributor Superadio, have partnered to launch “rapfabulous,” a two-hour classic hip-hop culture and lifestyle show that celebrates the genre’s legacy. “rapfabulous” premieres April 19 and 20 on Audacy’s classic hip-hop stations “94.7 The Block” WXBK New York and “104.3 Jams” WBMX Chicago, and made available nationwide via Audacy’s app.

Hosted by Mic Fox and Jazzie Belle, the show will feature classic tracks, interviews with hip-hop legends, and iconic moments in the format’s history.

“Since celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, we saw how important it is to amplify the voices that shaped this influential genre,” Audacy Format VP of Rhythmic AC and Throwback and “94.7 The Block” Brand Manager Skip Dillard says. “We’re excited to deepen our listeners’ understanding of this historic format through Mic and Jazzie’s insightful perspective and give a platform to legacy artists to share their journey in the genre.”

Fox, a former radio PD and VP of Digital Strategy and Content at Emmis Communications, has also held marketing positions at Atlantic Records, Island Def Jam, and TVT Records. Belle, who began her career in radio as co-host on Eminem’s SiriusXM channel Shade 45, launched the “Women in Hip-Hop” podcast and has served as a host and red-carpet correspondent for BET Networks and Vibe.com. She is currently an entertainment journalist for WPIX-TV New York, and host of TheInsideHollywood.net.
