Banksy Reveals New Lighthouse Street Art in Latest Instagram Post

This is mentioned in a post on the official Banksy Instagram page

On May 28, the renowned British street artist Banksy unveiled his new work – an image of a lighthouse emerging from the shadow of a pole on the sidewalk. This news was posted on his official Instagram page.

The new graffiti depicts a lighthouse located next to a pole, whose shadow smoothly transitions into its base. Above the drawing, a white paint inscription reads: “I want to be what you see in me.” The location where this work was created remains unknown.

This post is Banksy’s first since December 2024, when he presented an image of a mother breastfeeding her child. In August 2024, the artist completed a series of nine animal-themed works, including depictions of a goat, elephants, monkeys, a wolf, a cat, pelicans, and other animals, all executed in his distinctive style.

Banksy has also left his works in Ukraine, particularly in cities such as Borodyanka, Irpin, and Kyiv. These graffiti were created during the full-scale war. For example, in Kyiv’s Independence Square, they will be protected by anti-vandal glass.

Banksy is an anonymous street artist who has never revealed his identity. He gained fame through his street art and graffiti addressing social and political issues. Since 2003, the artist has not appeared publicly, with his solo exhibitions held in 2009 at the Bristol Museum and in 2023 in Glasgow.
