From vibrant graffiti at St Mark’s Road to the colourful bylanes of Malleswaram, Bengaluru’s street art scene is a must check out. Tribute portraits, abstract graffiti, meaningful messages and loads of culture are what Bengaluru’s street artists capture and express with their elaborate and impressive works on the walls across the city. KREEDA JUNCTION

Tennis ace Rohan Bopanna poses with a mural created of himself on a pillar at the Kreeda Junction near Richmond Circle.This was created by The Ugly Indian with an aim to promote tennis and encourage youngsters to pursue their sporting dreams.

MG ROAD METRO STATION

This mural depicting children playing, was painted by artist Harshvardhan Kadam along with students of the Srishti School of Design.
CHURCH STREET

Bengaluru’s Church Street is a riot of colour. Graffiti, murals and graphic art adorn these walls and play the backdrop to many a photoshoot staged in the area. Artworks here were created as part of a project called Art in Transit, by art students and street artists to brighten up public spaces.
AIRLINES HOTEL

Over 30 Bengalureans led by artist Bhoomika Ananth got together to pay a tribute to Virat Kohli’s batting prowess in an artistic style, with a mural painted on a wall at the Airlines Hotel. The mural was painted in a matter of five hours.
MALLESWARAM

In 2021, a group of artists of the Geechugalu Collective decided to paint 12 murals in Malleswaram. The project, ‘Malleswaram Hogona (which translates from Kannada to, ‘let’s go to Malleswaram’) was designed to showcase everything that make this old Bengaluru area what it is.
UTILITY BUILDING

Look up the next time you pass by Utility Building, on MG Road, to check out this 30-feet mural created by Fearless Collective in collaboration Hasiru Dala. It was designed to shed light on the lives of waste pickers and pourakarmikas and recognise their efforts in beautifying the city.
Bengaluru is a great city for art and artists. People here always appreciate art. But I think there is always room for more art, more thought-provoking art, and artists must come to together to create it
