Business Openings: Marie B Dance, Aesop, Bar Vivant, Casasalvo

Marie B Dance opened on the second floor of 1568 Second Avenue (between 81st and 82nd streets) on September 9. The studio offers group classes, hosts birthday parties and events, and has its own competitive dance team, according to its Instagram profile. They appear to have ballet classes for kids and hip hop dance for adults, among other classes.

Signage is up for Aesop on Third Avenue between 66th and 67th streets (h/t @uesthings). The Australian skincare brand has a nearby location at 1070 Madison Avenue (between 80th and 81st streets) along with stores throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Aesop offers a range of hair and skincare products, perfumes and room sprays, soaps and more.

Bar Vivant, which we wrote about here, is now open at 164 East 88th Street (between Third and Lexington avenues). Early reviews are positive for the new wine bar, with one person saying “This will absolutely become one of my new favorite spots. Small, but cozy and very inviting. The service was so friendly. Their wine list showcased a strong variety of smaller wineries from Italy, France, Spain and the US. It’s amazing that they are able to maintain such an extensive list of small plates in their space, but the food is definitely up to par.”

Casasalvo, which we last wrote about here, has opened its doors at 1491 Second Avenue (at 78th Street). “Now you can enjoy your favorite Italian coffee, fresh pastries, and shop signature products in one of NYC’s most iconic neighborhoods,” the Italian gourmet market wrote in an Instagram announcement. Casasalvo offers a range of coffees for $2.50.
