CID Wale Bhi Crime Kar Sakte Hai: Graffiti Artist Accuses Show Of Stealing His Work, Netizens React

CID 2 has been in the news recently for Shivaji Satam’s exit. In the popular crime show, ACP Pradyuman is killed by Barbosa (Tigmanshu Dhulia) for vendetta. Fans of the show were left disappointed with the new twist in the story as the character played by Shivaji Satam holds an important place in their hearts. But, as the fresh track took over, an artiste on social media noticed that the show used his work without crediting him.

CID 2 accused of stealing

Mumbai-based artist Mooz Graffiti shared a video on Instagram showing his graffiti, including images of Jared Leto’s Joker and Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk.

He said in the video, “Initially, I was excited because we have all watched CID since childhood and getting your artwork featured in it is a good thing. But it’s not just me, Zake, Elmart and a lot of other people’s artwork has been featured here. But the funny part is that instead of going out on the street and shooting the artwork or hiring a person to show the vandalism, you chose to take it from a YouTube video. I found that funny.”

His Instagram caption read, “Sala ye Barbosa ne credit le liya! (Barboasa took all the credit)Woke up to this! CID showing our artworks in their recent episode ‘the aftermath’ where the graffiti seems to be taken from YouTube videos! That’s quite funny!!”

Reacting to the video, one wrote in the comments, “Bruuuhhh this is a pop culture moment !!” Another commented, “Bro SUE THEM! In logo ka content use karo to turant copyright strike marte hai. Good chance to teach’em a lesson”

One quipped, “Wow! CID wale bhi crime kar sakte hai pehli bar pata chala.”

CID 2 new track

Parth Samthaan returned to television after 5 years with CID 2. He replaced Satam’s ACP Pradyuman. The actor plays the role of ACP Ayushmaan in the biweekly thriller.
