The work of popular British graffiti artist Bansky will feature in Copenhagen next year, the companies behind the exhibition, CSB Island entertainment and Julius Production, announced in a press statement on Thursday.
Fans of Banksy will be able to view the exhibition at Art Maze in the Østerbro district from May 16th. Art Maze is a “creative house and venue” which opened in 2023.
The exhibition, “The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind” was first displayed in German city Munich in 2021 and has since reportedly been viewed by 2.5 million visitors in various cities.
The exhibition is a tribute to the Bristol-born artist but is not officially endorsed by Banksy. It does not include original Banksy graffiti art because this cannot be moved from its original location.
“We want to make art an experience that everyone can enjoy,” German musical producer and exhibition organizer Oliver Forster, who is behind the exhibition, said in the statement.

“Banksy is primarily a street artist known for his graffiti works, which he has spread all over the world,” he explained.
With ‘The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind,’ we aim to bring together the best and most impressive pieces in one place, in a relaxed atmosphere outside of a museum setting, but still maintaining high standards,” he said.
Over 150 of the street artist’s pieces have been replicated specially for the exhibition, which also includes photography and video installations.
Tickets are already on sale for the exhibition in Copenhagen.
