Safari Island Community Center and the Waconia Area Senior Center hosted a senior dance party Dec. 12. Around 25 seniors attended dancing to various music — polkas, YMCA, the chicken dance, hip hop, and more. Special events at the Senior Center the rest of the month include “Donuts with a Deputy” on Monday, Dec. 23, from 10-11 a.m., and a “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center will be closed for Christmas Dec. 24-26.
