Diesel has staged another of the uber-cool, unconventional events for which it has an uncanny knack. The jeans label owned by Renzo Rosso’s fashion group OTB called on graffiti artists from all over the world, from beginners to street art legends, to take part in the Diesel Global Street Art Project, a unique event held in Milan on Tuesday December 3, whose aim was to bring together the largest urban art collective in the world.
The event lasted throughout the day and featured various sessions staged inside BASE, a vast, 12,000-square-metre hybrid cultural venue located in Milan’s trendy via Tortona district. Talented artists from all walks of life gave free rein to their creativity, pushing their skills to the limits to create a series of graphic works embodying Diesel’s rebellious spirit.
The artworks were created by blending and assembling different perspectives and creative languages on a single 800-square-metre canvas, which will serve as the backdrop for the next Diesel runway show. It will be unveiled at Milan Fashion Week in February 2025, for the presentation of the collection designed by Diesel’s creative director Glenn Martens for Fall/Winter 2025-26.
