Eminem shouts out J. Cole, slams Benzino and Coi Leray in new song

Eminem is back with another lyrical onslaught on his new song “Doomsday Pt. 2”, which is part of the Lyrical Lemonade compilation album “All Is Yellow”. The rap legend praises J. Cole, one of today’s top rappers, while dissing his old rival Benzino and rising star Coi Leray.

J. Cole

Eminem has been known for his witty wordplay and sharp punchlines, but he also shows respect to his peers in the rap game. On “Doomsday Pt. 2”, he gives a shout out to J. Cole, who has been dominating the charts and the critics with his latest album “The Off-Season”. Eminem raps:

And that’s why I’m back with Cole Bennett And I been at the level J. Cole been at

Cole Bennett is the founder of Lyrical Lemonade, a media platform and label that showcases emerging hip-hop artists. He also directed the music video for “Doomsday Pt. 2”, which features Eminem and Juice WRLD. Juice WRLD was a rising star who passed away in 2019, and Eminem paid tribute to him on his previous album “Music To Be Murdered By”.

J. Cole’s manager Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad was happy with Eminem’s reference, and tweeted: “That’s fire”

This is a notable gesture from Eminem, who was once criticized by J. Cole on his song “Fire Squad” in 2014. J. Cole compared Eminem to Elvis Presley, a white artist who “stole the sound” of a black genre. J. Cole said he was joking, but also added that “all good jokes contain true shit”.

It seems that Eminem has no hard feelings towards J. Cole, and recognizes his talent and success. J. Cole has not responded to Eminem’s shout out yet, but he is probably busy working on his next project, “The Fall Off”.

Coi Leray

While Eminem shows love to J. Cole, he also shows hate to his enemies. He takes aim at Benzino, the former publisher of The Source magazine, who he had a bitter feud with in the early 2000s. Eminem mocks Benzino’s financial troubles, physical appearance, and sexual orientation. He raps:

“Now I got a riddle, one condition, you mustn’t laugh What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe ‘Go at his neck,’ how the fuck is that? How can I go at something he doesn’t have?Arms so short he can’t even touch his hands When they’re up above his head doin’ jumping jacks Sorry, I don’t mean to upset you, Ben When I talk about all the debt you in I hear that you been creeping on the low In them cheap hotels, that they catch you in,. Well, I guess then I regret to inform you, hate to spoil the day But this doesn’t bring me no joy to say Guess that Coi Leray feat.’s in the toilet, ay?”

Coi Leray is a young rapper and singer who is gaining popularity with her songs like “No More Parties” and “Big Purr”. She is also the daughter of Benzino, who has been supportive of her career. Eminem suggests that he regrets working with her, and implies that her music is trash.

Coi Leray responded to Eminem’s diss on X (formerly Twitter), and said that she is not bothered by it. She wrote:

““Misery loves company” . She also said that rap beef is “washed and tired”, and that she is focused on her personal growth. She added: “Man who the hell said I wanted an Eminem feature? Imagine Eminem on Wanna Come thru?” .”

Coi Leray seems to have a positive attitude, and does not want to engage in a war of words with Eminem. She is currently working on her debut album, which is expected to drop soon.
