This news comes as radio host Angie Martinez is preparing to make a documentary called God’s Favorite DJ: The Story of DJ Clark Kent, which will honor his impact on hip-hop. Martinez praised Kent, saying, “DJ Clark Kent is a rare gem whose influence is seen in nearly every era of hip-hop’s history books.” She noted how important it is to highlight artists who truly contribute to music.
