Ghostface Killah, meet GLD FSTVL.
The legendary Wu-Tang Clan rapper leads the lineup for the second edition of the Boston music festival, which returns to City Hall Plaza on August 10. Also on deck to perform is an impeccable roster of Boston hip-hop that includes Dutch ReBelle, Michael Christmas, Motivate Merren, Cakeswagg (pictured above), Exit Fame, Clark D, and festival curators STL GLD. Area DJs DCaso, Troy Frost, and Brek. One — DJ for the 2024 NBA World Championship — will also take the stage, along with representatives from local nonprofit The Hip-Hop Transformation.
Boston hip-hop staple STL GLD launched the free, one-day festival last August in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture. The 2023 date deliberately aligned with the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, but with so many rising forces within the genre to showcase, it’s no surprise that the festival has returned — and is on a fast track to becoming a summertime tradition in Boston.
