A Sarasota man tagged a sheriff’s patrol car, then got a ride in the very same one, this time from the back seat.

On Friday, a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) found their patrol car with a new bumper sticker of the permanent variety.

According to a post on SCSO’s Facebook, “STIKS” was graffitied with a black marker on the back of the patrol car.

But that’s not all, the same graffiti tag was also scribbled all over the 7-Eleven, including the car wash menu, an electrical box, the air pump, and even a strip of the yellow parking line.

Unlucky for the 32-year-old graffiti vandal, deputies say the entire incident was caught on camera.

Deputies say Jose Alejandro Rodriquez will be trading his jumbo Sharpie for handcuffs.

Deputies found probable cause to book Rodriquez on one felony and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.
