Fired-up liberals flocked this week to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago thrilled by the possibility of America’s first female president — but the event was also full of embarrassing gaffes, verbal blunders and hilariously cringe-worthy interactions.

From Nancy Pelosi’s “toilet paper” mishap to weirdly stiff hip-hop dance parties, here’s a round-up of the best-worst moments of the 2024 DNC.

Awkward puns

Democrats turned their ‘roll call’ into a musical mishmash full of awkward moments, including one in which the rapper Lil Jon performed his raunchy early-aughts banger “Get Low” next to a bunch of politicians dancing stiffly in suits.

The song – which typically features the lyrics, “To the windows/ To the walls” – was sanitized for the occasion, with the hip-hop artist inserting a cringey pun: “Kamala Harris/Gov. Walz.”

DJ Cassidy spinned other state-themed tunes such as Tupac Shakur’s “California Love” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”  alongside other rhythm-challenged lawmakers and lobbyists.

Size king Obama

Former President Barack Obama slammed GOP nominee Donald Trump for his  “weird obsession with crowd sizes” — while appearing to make a provocative phallic gesture with his hands.

Obama, 63, was giving the closing speech on night two of the DNC Tuesday, when he pointed out Trump’s “obsession”  and made the gesture while arriving at the word “sizes”— before quickly putting his hands down with a look of surprise on his face.

Groovin’ boomers

Grooving to tunes of their time, seniors at a DNC labeled “Boomers for Harris-Walz Rockin’ Doo-Wop Party” sang classic songs – with the words cringingly tweaked to reflect fanatical support for Harris.

“Joe endorsed Kamala on a Sunday, and our hearts stood still da-doo run, run, run, run, to-do run, run,” they sang in the style of the 1963 hit, “Da Do Ron Ron,” by The Crystals.

“And then I wrote that Kamala called her partner, Tim, da do do run, run, run doo wop.”

And to the tune of The Tokens’ 1961 song’s “Wimoweh” chorus, they sang: “Kamaaala, Kamaaala, let’s vote Trump away.”

Eric Adams’ ‘sexual’ slip of the tongue

Freudian slip? When asked by a reporter about the federal corruption probe swirling around him, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, accidentally launched into an X-rated response.

“One of the gifts that I have that really made me good at being a mayor is my ability to sexualize and stay focused,” he said — apparently meaning to say “actualize” or “centralize.”

Some called the blunder more embarrassing than being snubbed for a speaking slot at the DNC.

Pelosi goes to pot

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi went viral Wednesday over what observers thought was toilet paper falling from her pants as she walked on stage — but a source told  The Post it was actually just notes for her speech.

Pelosi (D-Calif.), 84, left behind what appeared to be a square white paper product near the podium, sparking wild online theories.

AOC’s ‘fake’ twang

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was  mocked for her “bizarre” sudden accent change as she appeared to suddenly adopt a “southern twang” during a fiery speech in which she called Trump a two-bit union buster.

“What accent is AOC using here?” one commenter slammed.

Others said the “accent” sounded more like a cross between Australian and east-Indian.
