Graffiti Wall of Fame New York

East Harlem is filled with cultural treasures and street art everywhere you look. Things change fast in the neighborhood, so I’ve tried to capture as much as I can before it disappears. One spot that is always in flux, but in a good way, is the Graffiti Wall of Fame at East 106th & Park Avenue. For more than three decades local artists have been showing off their skills on this giant wall right next to the Metro-North tracks. The park is not always open, so access up close can be difficult, but it’s still easy to get some good photos through the fence.

And just like the seasons in New York, it’s worth it to walk by every few months to see if the team in charge of the wall has come around to change it up. If you’re lucky, like I have been a few times, you’ll catch them in the act of rolling out a brand new design concept right before your eyes.
