BirdGang Ltd, the award-winning UK-based creative company specialising in hip-hop dance theatre, proudly presents HATCHWORK 25 – an evening showcasing innovative new work from emerging movement architects. The performance, which represents the culmination of an intensive 360 degree two-week residency for eight artists, takes place at Stanley Arts on Saturday 1st February 2025.

Supported by Stanley Arts, Idlewild Trust and Arts Council England, HATCHWORK 25 continues BirdGang Ltd’s mission of championing the next generation of choreographers by offering eight selected artists a platform to explore and share experimental new work with the public for the very first time.

During the residency, participants engage in workshops and receive mentorship from BirdGang Ltd’s industry-leading Movement Architects and Directors.

With guidance from specialists in sound, lighting, and set design, as well as business development coaching, the artists delve deep into the creative process, honing their craft and gaining tools to shape the future and legacy of their work.
