Lincoln Park Music Festival Returns To Newark: 2024 Summer Events

NEWARK, NJ — A popular music festival is returning to Newark for 2024: the Lincoln Park Music Festival.

Now in its 19th year, the weeklong event is one of the largest free outdoor music festivals in the region, with an average annual audience that reaches into the tens of thousands.

This year, the festival’s popular House Music Day will take place on Saturday, July 27 from noon to 10 p.m. The City of Newark will be partnering with Rutgers University to provide free shuttle bus transportation from each ward to the Arts & Education District during Saturday’s event from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (learn more and see pick-up/drop-off locations here).

Other events planned for the week include:

  • Wednesday, July 24 – Gospel Night, 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 25 – Soul Line Dancing, 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Friday, July 26 – R&B Night, 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 28 – Hip Hop Culture Day, noon to 9 p.m.
