BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — LQ’s Performing Arts Center is bringing hip-hop dance back to Bakersfield for a special one-day event on coming Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024.
Two sessions will be available for dancers, an advanced class at 10 a.m. and an open-level class for all ages begin at 11 a.m.

Each class costs $10, location details will be provided after registration, and payment must be made in advanced on the center’s website.
“We are excited to bring back hip-hop dance classes for this one-day event,” LaQuette Milner, director of LQ’s Performing Arts Center said. “It’s a chance for the community to reconnect with Bakersfield’s hip-hop history while learning from some of the original leaders in the field.”
