New Delhi: A 32-year-old man was murdered, and two of his relatives were injured after being attacked by two men over a dispute about dancing on the DJ floor in Mangolpuri. Police have arrested two people, including a history-sheeter.
Police said they received a PCR call on Wednesday reporting that a person named Mogi had stabbed his three nephews. One was in serious condition, and the other two had been shifted to the hospital.
A team from the local police station rushed to the spot.During the inquiry, it was found that one of the injured, named Mangal was declared dead, while his relatives Kunal and Neeraj were referred to other hospital for further treatment.
Neeraj told the cops that he, his brother Kunal, and their maternal uncle Mangal were stabbed by two persons identified as Nitesh alias Mogi (30) and Abhishek alias Ladla (21). A case was registered under BNS at Mangolpuri police station.
Police formed multiple teams to crack the case and started scanning the CCTV footage of the area to ascertain the routes taken by the accused to flee.
“While reviewing CCTV footage, we identified one of the attackers. A raid was conducted at his home in Mangolpuri, but he was not found there. His mobile number was obtained, and his call data records were analysed, and his location was traced to Shahdara, where he and his family were in the process of moving to a new hideout,” an officer added.
A raid was conducted resulting in the arrest of both the accused. During probe, they admitted to having a minor quarrel with the three men over dancing on the DJ floor on Sept 15. This led to Mogi becoming aggressive and seeking revenge. He made a plan with his friend Abhishek, and on Wednesday, he stabbed the trio. Mogi is a history-sheeter of Mang olpuri area.
