Megan Thee Stallion is the most nominated artist at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards with 12 nominations. The Houston rapper is trailed only by Kendrick Lamar, who racked up 11 nominations, with his most nominated releases being “Not Like Us” and his featured verse on Metro Boomin’s “Like That.” Meanwhile, Drake — the target of those two songs — is nominated for eight awards at this year’s ceremony. The awards show will premiere on BET on Tuesday, October 15 at 8 p.m. EST.
Fat Joe will return as host of the show, which finds the biggest names in hip-hop going up against one another for top awards from Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Collaboration, and Best Live Performer to Song of the Year, Hip-Hop Album of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, and more. Behind Megan, Kendrick, and Drake are six-time nominees Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, and Nicki Minaj, each scoring seven nods. Future and Travis Scott.
Elsewhere, 21 Savage and 41 received four nominations each, while A$AP Rocky, Common, Lil Wayne, Pete Rock, and Sexyy Red each received three nominations. Other nominated artists include Central Cee, Doja Cat, Kid Cudi, Flyana Boss, Missy Elliot, A$AP Rocky, Offset, Gunna, and more.
“Joe Crack is back for the 3-peat, night night baby,” Fat Joe shared in a statement. “It’s been a dream to host the ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ the past few years and I’m looking forward to taking things to the next level in Las Vegas. We’re going to be in a new city and location, but the excitement and entertainment at the awards will be even bigger than ever.”
