Downtown Burien is preparing to once again transform into a vibrant, open-air gallery as the annual Mural Masters Festival returns the weekend of June 20-22, 2025 for its next three-day run.
The event, hosted in the city’s Art Alley within the Burien Creative District, will bring together over 20 local and international artists who will create fresh murals that brighten alleyways, town squares, and storefronts throughout the city.
Now a staple in Burien’s creative identity, the Mural Masters Festival has become more than a celebration of street art — it’s a movement aimed at shaping community character, inspiring civic pride, and boosting economic development through public art.
Each mural remains on display for a full year, after which new artwork is rotated in, ensuring a continually refreshed visual landscape for both residents and visitors.
Designed to be accessible and inclusive, the event offers free programming and invites everyone to experience the live creation of murals over the course of the festival.
In addition to celebrating creativity, the initiative supports anti-graffiti efforts and contributes to making public spaces more inviting.

Organizers are also calling on supporters in Burien and beyond to help fund this year’s event through community donations. Contributions are tax-deductible through the festival’s fiscal sponsor.
