The splotches, spray and splatter of New York’s vibrant street art will be covering Warrnambool Art Gallery this November.
“Graffiti is the soundtrack of the city,” – a sentiment true to the vibrantly decorated New York cityscape. One of its biggest contributors is pioneering and ground-breaking artist Claudia Gold (aka Claw Money).
The New York artist will bring their work to Warrnambool Art Gallery in a world premiere of exhibition, CLAW MONEY WORLD. This world-first, Australian exclusive exhibition running from Saturday 16 November 2024 until Sunday 16 March 2025 takes you to the heart of New York’s graffiti scene through the eyes of Claudia Gold in an intimate look into Claw Money’s global impact upon graffiti, fashion and design spanning the 1990s to the present day.

Rising to prominence in the male-dominated New York graffiti scene of the 1990s with her distinctive claw paw moniker, Gold gained international notoriety through her iconic collaborations with major brands including Nike, Vans, UGG Australia, My Little Pony and Mountain Dew. Her eponymous fashion label has attracted high-profile celebrity followers including Kanye West, M.I.A, Amy Winehouse, Rhianna and Kendrick Lamar, for its contemporary blend of streetwear and couture.
In this world-premiere, and on show for the first time at the Warrnambool Art Gallery, Victoria, Australia, CLAW MONEY WORLD presents a suite of Gold’s key collaborations from Nike to NASCAR, alongside signature garments and accessories from her label, set amongst a vibrant installation of murals painted by the artist in-situ.
Claudia Gold will make her way to Australia for this premiere exhibition of CLAW MONEY WORLD, leading workshops and collaborative murals in key sites in Victoria.

Warrnambool Art Gallery Director and CLAW MONEY WORLD co-curator Aaron Bradbrook said the exhibition was a major coup for the region.

CLAW MONEY WORLD builds upon the success of the Warrnambool Art Gallery’s 2023 major exhibition entitled Lisa Gorman + Mirka Mora: To breathe with the rhythm of the heart which attracted thousands of visitors to the region from across the country.
This exhibition, the first of its kind in Australia, brings the global mainstream sensations of fashion, graffiti, celebrity, sneakers and New York culture to regional Australia.
