Oak Ridge Dance Cats are tops in Hip Hop

The Oak Ridge High School Dance Cats competed in the TSSAA Cheer and Dance State Championships held at the Knoxville Convention Center Nov.15-16. The team won the state title in the Large Varsity Hip Hop Division for the second year in a row.

In addition to competitions, the Dance Cats can be found on the sideline cheering on the Wildcats at football games. The Dance Cats are coached by Pam Reedy and Renee Anderson. Their award-winning routine was choreographed by Hannah Keathley Dowland and Gerardo Sandoval.

More than 3,700 student athletes competed in the competitions, according to the TSSAA website.
