Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the famous music magnate, is reportedly too paranoid to eat while detained at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, New York City.
At 54, the renowned hip-hop artist was arrested last week in New York on charges such as sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation, and engaging in prostitution. Presently, he’s housed at the Metropolitan Detention Center where reports suggest he has been moved to a ‘special protection’ zone.
A previous inmate disclosed through a ‘source’ about Diddy’s current circumstances inside. Larry Levine, who once served time at the MDC, alleges that Diddy is not eating due to fear and paranoia over being targeted.
“Imagine if someone paid someone off on the inside to poison his food, give him a heart attack and he dies,” expressed the ex-inmate. “If somebody got to one of the correctional officers, and this could happen. They don’t make a lot of money and there’s people out there that he’s got stuff on that do have a lot of money.
“He’s really, really paranoid. He’s really, really scared. Doesn’t know what to think, he doesn’t know who to trust or what to believe,” revealed Levine in a conversation with Ashleigh Banfield from NewsNation. He further mentioned that it’s not uncommon for new detainees to be wary of the food served, reports the Mirror.

The source added: “They feed the people in the shoe last. The food is bland, it’s a lot of carbohydrates. It fills you up but you get sick eating it. There’s mould in a lot of that food. Maybe he got sick from the food, that’s another possibility.”

Diddy has been recently relocated within the jail. He now finds himself in the same wing as convicted crypto con artist Sam Bankman-Fried, based on what insiders have alleged. Last week saw Diddy handcuffed and taken into custody in New York City; he is now incarcerated in a facility notorious for its violent atmosphere.
Reports indicate that this particular unit operates like a high-security barracks, accommodating 18 to 20 individuals who require extra protection, including those with celebrity status or individuals involved in collaborative inquiry efforts. It’s effectively a more tightly controlled general population area.
His arrest on September 16 by Homeland Security Investigations on charges such as sex trafficking and racketeering was quickly followed by an indictment. Transported behind bars, Diddy has maintained his innocence with a plea of not guilty, however, bail has been denied to him on two separate occasions.
