Quando Rondo has been sentenced to almost three years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal drug charge.
Back in August, the Savannah, Georgia rapper (real name Tyquian Bowman) pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana.

He has now been sentenced to two years and nine months behind bars, sligtly less than the five years he was initially facing for the charge.
The 25-year-old has also been ordered to pay a $40,000 fine and spend three years on probation following his release from prison.

Rondo will also be subject to drug testing, mental health counseling and educational training requirements.
The NBA YoungBoy signee told local ABC affiliate WJCL that he’s taking the sentence in stride and views it as “just one chapter in his next story.”

“As crazy as it sounds, that’s enough time to really sit down, rehabilitate myself, come up with some better plans, come out and move forward for my family and friends,” he said.
He added that he wants to serve as a role model for the youth and show them that they “can do something way more better and positive” and that “doing the right thing and walking down the right path is cool.”

Quando Rondo was originally charged with the more serious crime of drug conspiracy and participating in criminal street gang activity, but later struck a deal with prosecutors where he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge.
The controversial rapper previously apologized for his actions, saying: “I’ve had ups and downs, but I know I can do better — not just for myself, but for the community that has supported me. Savannah deserves more from me and I’m working hard to be a better person.”

Rondo also has an open case relating to a DUI following a high-speed car crash in July 2023. He has pleaded not guilty in that case.
The “I Remember” hitmaker was reportedly seen speeding before crashing into another car. During the incident, he was also allegedly showing signs of an overdose, for which medical professionals at the scene administered Narcan.
Rondo has never commented on reports of the overdose.
However, he did recently celebrate eight months of sobriety.

The rapper detailed his journey to stop using drugs on Instagram, writing: “I been sober 8 months straight !!! But these 3 other than flash i know believe in me frfr ! Budda squeal & big brah wac RIP !! I been high as hell this night i came along way boy thats the only thing i appreciate about this life i finally love being sober !”
He added: “I USED TO TAKE SO MANY DRUGS TBLACC & PLUTO THEM USED TO SAY IM TRIPPING BUT IM SURPRISED I DIDNT OD THATS JUST MEAN THAT IM HERE 4 A REASON !”
