The Salem Dance Ensemble present their fall concert, featuring original choreography by Salem State University students and faculty. This concert will also include performances by the Hip Hop Dance Ensemble and a new work by fall choreographer-in-residence Lonnie Stanton.
Stanton has worked in collaboration with a select group of dance students to create a dance piece inspired by the restoration of the Collins Cove shoreline led by Salem Sound Coastwatch. Stanton and the students centered the climate crisis in their creative process looking toward the work done at Collins Cove as a positive response to addressing erosion and coastal flooding.
Admission is free, although there is a suggested donation at the door of $10 to support the Dance Honor Society. Advance reservations are not required. This event is co-sponsored by Salem State Earth Days.
