ScHoolboy Q doesn’t approve of Michael Rubin‘s complaint about Black culture.
Appearing on The Breakfast Club on Wednesday (August 14), the billionaire Fanatics founder (who is white) lamented what he sees is a pattern of Black people tearing each other down while defending his friend and business partner Meek Mill against rampant speculation about his sexuality.

“When I see the narrative of a really good friend of mine like Meek […] there’s not one gay bone in his body so why do people want to lie about that? Why do people want to change the narrative to try to hurt him?” he said.
“Look, I’m just being blunt because it’s me. It’s the one thing I’ve learned about Black culture that I don’t like: Black[-on-Black] hate […] It’s horrible.”

Rubin, who is also close with JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Lil Baby and other prominent Black entertainers, added: “You guys correct me if I’m wrong. I think there’s a little bit of a Black culture of, like, it’s Black hate-on-hate. It’s like the Black judge that Meek had that hated on him and wanted to go extra hard on him.
“I think it’s terrible. I think it’s culturally wrong […] Why do you not want to build everyone up around you? Why do you not want everyone around you to do great?”

After a clip of Rubin’s comments circulated on social media, ScHoolboy Q weighed in and wrote on X: “braH…… im cool on this app tHis sHit outta control dog [crying face emojis],” before adding: “NO SUCH THING AS BLACK ON BLACK ANYTHING WTF.”
In a more critical post which has since been deleted, the TDE rapper said: “YOU KNOW WAT I DONT LIKE ABOUT U N-GGERS? I HATE WHEN U N-GGERS BE ACTING LIKE N-GGERS [crying laughter emoji].. basically.”
He then explained why he removed the post, writing: “Dat do look crazy don’t it [crying face emojis]….ill delete it.”

Michael Rubin’s Breakfast Club interview also made headlines thanks to his admission that he banned Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” from his recent July 4th white party out of deference to Drake, who was one of many A-list stars in attendance.
The former Philadelphia 76ers owner said: “Drake’s [been] my friend for a long time, I’m not gonna invite him and then have, you know… Look, he’s obviously going through a little bit of a battle right now. I’m not gonna have him come there and [be in battle mode].

“I didn’t think it was appropriate so I just sent a note that said, ‘Hey, let’s not play anyone’s music that’s feuding with anyone that’s there.’”
Rubin also confirmed that it was strictly his decision and he wasn’t pressured by Drake to prevent “Not Like Us” from being played at his swanky Hamptons bash.
Despite his best efforts, the sports mogul wasn’t able to avoid Kendrick‘s chart-topping diss song the entire weekend, though.
“The day before, we had a small barbecue for a few hours that was supposed to be 30 people; it turned into 200 people for about 10 hours,” he explained.

“When they turned the music on in my house, they put [the Spotify playlist] RapCaviar on and ‘Not Like Us’ came on. I’m like, ‘Get that off!’ [Drake] was pulling up soon.”
