Sean “Diddy” Combs is going to spend Christmas in prison at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits his May 2025 trial. The artist, who pleaded not guilty to serious charges such as racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, has been settling into life in prison. Despite the grim surroundings, he has reportedly maintained a steady routine, including playing card games and basketball, and receiving weekday visits from family members.
Hindustan Times quotes a former inmate who said that Combs is “well-liked inside prison,” noting that he has managed to establish rapport with the inmates.
The prison, in fact, has reportedly laid out its holiday menu for Christmas. A peek into how the inmates will celebrate the day as Combs will. Christmas morning will be served as fruit, cereal, breakfast cake, and skim milk. This is a repetition of the Christmas Eve, where pastries will be used instead of the cake. Baked Cornish hen or BBQ tofu will be the main course for lunch on Christmas Day, accompanied by macaroni and cheese, spinach, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, a holiday dessert, and a beverage.
Apparently, dinner on Christmas Day is made up of two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on whole wheat bread, potato chips, fruit, and a beverage. This meal would represent the same that was served to inmates on Thanksgiving.
On Christmas Eve, dinner would be more elaborate. Options included were: either turkey roast or Navy beans, baked sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables, whole wheat bread with margarine, and a beverage.
But on Wednesday, Combs again was in the headlines as he appeared in court, showing the toll of his behind bars time in his noticeably thinner frame and grayer hair. Reportedly one of the presenters at Sean’s trial, Journalist Elizabeth Millner describes Diddy’s change as ‘Astonishing’ and she reportedly said, “A lot different from the luxury lifestyle he was living before, but he appeared noticeably thinner, and perhaps being locked up in detention is starting to wear on him,”
